A low-mintage large gold type for which the Standard Catalog supposes only 5,000 total pieces were minted across both Provas and business strikes. While some light chatter can be seen to bound the assigned grade, close examination reveals fine die polish in the satin fields, suggesting a very carefully executed and high-quality piece.
