This 2022 5-Coin Gold Proof Piedfort Pattern Sovereign Set was issued by The Royal Mint. The 2022 gold proof sovereigns feature a special Royal Coat of Arms design to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee. Struck from 22 carat gold (0.9167 fineness), the set contains a quintuple, double, full sovereign, half sovereign and quarter sovereign. These piedfort coins are double the thickness and weight of the standard version of the coin. Only 70 of these gold proof piedfort pattern sets have been issued.
