The first in this set is the 1989 Sovereign , featuring the Tudor Rose on its reverse.
Coinciding with Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee in 2002, the Reverse design of the 2002 was changed to that of a crowned shield in wreath for one-year-only therefore feauturing in this set.
The St George and the Dragon reverse of the 2005 Sovereign -another year -only-design- is by Timothy Noad and is more modernistic version of Saint George slaying the dragon.
It appears here alongside a classic Sovereign which proudly displays the original St George and the dragon design by Benedetto Pistrucci which first appeared on the sovereigns of George IIIin 1817 and
typically appears on sovereign issues today - expect for occasions which command a design change. The final sovereign -2012 issue- features a new one year design by Paul Day which is a rendition of St George and the Dragon,
introduced to celebrate the Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee.
